Malabar Hill

Malabar Hill is a posh residential area. It houses the Raj Bhavan. You can also see the residences of the Chief Minister and the Governor also here. Malabar hill is the highest point in downtown Mumbai, at 80ft. Malabar Hill is also famous for the Walkeshwar Temple. It was initially built by the Silhara kings. The Portuguese had destroyed it during their, but it rebuilt by Rama Kamath, in 1715. The Malabar Hill district is a place where many corporate bigwigs, Bollywood actors and celebrities have large bungalows.
